Korea No Filter

Who we are and how we check facts

Korea No Filter is run by Koreans living in Korea. We write in English for people visiting, moving here or just curious, and we try to tell you what a friend who lives here would tell you, including when something isn't worth it.

How we check facts

  • Official sources first. Prices, fares and rules come from government notices, operators' own pages or major Korean newspapers. Each guide lists its sources at the bottom.
  • Everything is dated. Every guide shows the date we last checked it. When something changes, we update the guide and note what changed in its change log.
  • We say when we're not sure. If we couldn't confirm a detail officially, we tell you rather than guess.
  • We read Korean sources. A lot of useful information is only published in Korean. Reading it directly is the main advantage we have over guides written from abroad.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every guide is then checked against its sources and edited by a person before it goes up. We don't publish reviews of products or places we haven't used, and we don't use AI-generated images as if they were real photos.

How the site makes money

We may show ads and earn a commission when you book or buy through some links. That never decides what we recommend, and you'll see a clear note wherever affiliate links appear. Details are on our disclosure page.
