Immediate refunds you've already had this trip

Optional. The total of purchases you already got the tax taken off at the register. Leave it empty if none.

How this works: a receipt needs at least 15,000 won in one store. The immediate refund at the register takes receipts under 1,000,000 won, up to 5,000,000 won of them per trip, counted in the order you list them. Downtown booths take receipts up to 6,000,000 won; the airport has no upper limit. Goods must leave Korea within 3 months, unopened. VAT is 10% and already inside the price, so the VAT is 1/11 of what you pay. For most goods the refund won't go above that; some high-priced luxury items also carry individual consumption tax, which is refunded too. Refund companies keep a fee and each uses its own table by purchase size, so we show a range of 4% to 7% of the price, the usual net refund given by Creatrip's tax refund guide (updated January 2026); Wise also says up to about 7%. Some guides report a little more on very large purchases. Dollar figures use 1,340 won per dollar, the USD/KRW close on October 9, 2026 (Pound Sterling Live). Cosmetic procedures stopped qualifying after December 31, 2025. Full rules and sources in our Korea tax refund guide.
